I'm going to the Knitting Meetup in Detroit next week with my good friend (and cousin...in-law?) Jackie. Sweet! Maybe I can get a little help with the project I've been working on for the last week. It was my sister's birthday over the last weekend and I was attempting to make her a tank top from a cotton/silk blend yarn. It looks pretty good except for the crochet edge around the neckline and armholes. I've never crocheted in my life, so it kind of looks like crap. I wonder if I should have crocheted into the stitches the same way I would have to pick up stitches: crochet 3, skip 1. I guess I can't really explain it and I don't have any photos to show right now, so I think I'll bring it along with me next week and see if there's an expert there who might be able to help.
